For more than 25 years, Alessandra has partnered with early- and middle-stage entrepreneurs to develop and launch disruptive, technology-driven solutions that tackle some of the world’s most critical challenges. She brings particular expertise and passion to the waste-to-energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors. For years, she served as a Private Consultant to Danielson Holding Corporation, the owner of Covanta. In that role, she played a pivotal strategic part in the company’s dramatic turnaround—immediately divesting non-core assets such as casinos and hockey stadiums to refocus exclusively on its core waste-to-energy business. Her contributions helped guide Covanta from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2004 to a landmark $5.3 billion sale in 2021, delivering transformative value in the global sustainable energy market.

Alessandra thrives when collaborating with visionary yet pragmatic entrepreneurs who welcome deep involvement, pursue compelling market opportunities with courage, and inspire first-class teams. Her hands-on approach to business strategy, executive recruiting, commercialization, and high-impact partnership development has helped build ventures that have collectively generated hundreds of millions in revenues.

Building on this proven track record, Alessandra is now executing an ambitious plan to build, own, and operate a global network of next-generation Petcoke-to-Graphite, Tires-to-Graphite, and Waste-to-Jetfuel processing plants—first across the United States and then expanding worldwide—delivering revolutionary, scalable solutions to waste management, resource recovery, and clean energy production on an unprecedented scale.

across Latin America.

EDGAR CASTILLO

Vice President of Operations, South America

Edgar is a precision-driven mechanical engineer whose
relentless attention to detail and operational discipline make him the ideal leader to scale Clean Earth Planet’s processing plants across South America.  As Vice President of Operations, he will oversee the end-to-end deployment, commissioning, and day-to-day performance of our waste-to-fuel and resource-recovery plants. From feedstock handling and reactor optimization to emissions control and continuous performance improvement, Edgar brings the engineering rigor required to deliver world-class, bankable assets across the region.
